Who is your favorite “most obscure” player on the Atlanta Falcons roster?

It’s the off-season, Atlanta Falcons fans. There’s the draft next month. There are OTAs and other off-season activities to look forward to. And right now, between the World Baseball Classic and March Madness, I’m keeping myself busy. But damn y’all, September is far far away.

In the meantime, let’s occupy each other. I stumbled across this Reddit thread and it got me thinking: who is my favorite “most obscure” player on the Falcons roster?

There are a number of contenders. First I thought about up and comer Justin Hardy. For a guy that didn’t have a playbook in college, he’s adjusted quickly to an NFL playbook. Once his knowledge of the playbook catches up with his athleticism and amazing hands, the NFL is in trouble.

Second I thought about frequently inactive TE D.J. Tialavea. He’s got an amazing story, and I was thrilled to see him active on game day twice in 2016. His week 16 touchdown against the Carolina Panthers is honestly one of my best memories.

Ultimately for me this wasn’t a true contest. It was always going to be Josh Harris. We’re both mediocre golfers. He’s a Georgia kid. He’s arguably one of the best long snappers in the league, hence his obscurity. He hasn’t missed a game since 2012. What’s not to like?

So what say you football-deprived Falcoholic? Who’s your favorite obscure Falcon?
