It’s been a rough week for Atlanta Falcons fans. We’ve watched the New England Patriots get weird during their victory parade. We’ve tried to process the departure of numerous assistant coaches. Yes, we’re officially back in touch with reality! There’s a long off-season ahead, but alas, we must move on.
Pro Football Focus released their top 101 players of the 2016 NFL season this afternoon. Your Falcons featured 4 of those players. (And 3 of the 4 were in the top 16.)
MVP Matt Ryan was ranked 5th; Julio Jones immediately followed him in 6th place. Meanwhile Alex Mack was ranked 16th while Ryan Schraeder was 90th. Not a bad showing but there are some other names that come to mind. (The exclusion of Vic Beasley and Devonta Freeman is a head scratcher.)
So what say you? How do these rankings suit your fancy? Who should’ve been ranked higher, lower, or not ranked at all? Discuss!
