Super Bowl 52 odds: Atlanta opens with the second-highest odds of winning next year

Next season. Always next season.

NFL: Super Bowl LI-New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons Dan Powers-USA TODAY Sports

None of us have crystal balls, as this season vividly illustrated. Neither do the oddsmakers, but for what it’s worth, they’re pretty bullish on the Falcons being back here a year from now.

From Pregame.com, here’s a look at every NFL team’s odds next season, as of today. I’ve highlighted every NFC South team, in case you were interested.

The Falcons should be considered one of the top teams in the NFC South if they can do the following things between now and next September:

  • Add more talent to the defensive line, in particular pass rushers
  • Hire a bright offensive mind to pick up where Kyle Shanahan will be leaving off
  • Stay healthy
  • Not spiral into a dark abyss of despair, never to return

Easy, right? For now, we’re left to daydream about a better tomorrow. Hopefully Vegas has things right.
