The Falcons were up 21-3 at halftime. They ended regulation tied up at 28-28 with the New England Patriots, and for the first time in NFL history, the Super Bowl is headed to overtime.
To say the Falcons blew this lead would be to undersell just how historic this was. No team had ever come back from more than ten points down in the Super Bowl, and Atlanta just couldn’t get much going offensively in the second half and saw the defense get tired, and they wound up surrendering a ton of points.
We now have to see what the Falcons can do here. I have no other words for you.
