The Atlanta Falcons hope to improve their defensive line this offseason. They can do that through the draft, or they can try to make a play in free agency. They’ve done a great job building a capable defense over the past two years, primarily through the draft. That said, there are some interesting options in free agency.
Per Yahoo Sports’ Eric Edholm, the Falcons may be interested in Dallas Cowboys free gent Terrell McClain.
Keep an eye on #Falcons with free agent DT Terrell McClain if #Cowboys can't re-sign. There's interest there in ATL

McClain is an unrestricted free agent. He’s a talented, physical DT that can shut down the run. He singlehandedly elevated the Cowboys run defense in 2016. But don’t sleep on McClain’s ability to affect the pass rush; he had 2.5 sacks in 2016. It’s worth noting that McClain has been in the league for six years. In that time he’s only started 27 times. 2016 was truly his breakout year. Was it an anomaly? Probably not. But the Falcons should still proceed with caution.
