File this one under in case you missed it: The Falcons’ new Mercedes-Benz Stadium is really coming along nicely.
Another month closer. Get ready, @AtlantaFalcons & @ATLUTD. pic.twitter.com/QaQUemueKM

The gigantic, over-budget, utterly unnecessary stadium also looks extremely awesome and features plenty of bells and whistles, and I’m sure every Falcons fan is chomping at the bit to get to a game there this fall. In the meantime, you should be able to check it out for Atlanta United games first, if construction stays on schedule.
Atlanta said goodbye to the Georgia Dome in the best possible way, winning the NFC Conference Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers to get to Super Bowl LI, which we’re going to move past as quickly as possible right now. They had played there since the 1990’s, so it’ll be a big move for the franchise. As successful as they were in the Dome, I’m hoping Mercedes-Benz Stadium winds up being the place where they finally hoist multiple Lombardi Trophies.
The new stadium is expected to be fully operational before the Falcons kick off their 2017 season. I’m very excited to check out the 100 yard bar, even if my liver isn’t.
