Late in last night’s stunning win over the New Orleans Saints, we saw the Atlanta Falcons take Tevin Coleman to the locker room for a “head injury.” That usually means concussion, but the team did not confirm it until today.

It is not clear if this will keep Coleman out the next game, a Monday Night matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Desmond Trufant returned about a week and a half after suffering his concussion, and the team has a mini-bye week going from a Thursday night game to next Monday night. It’s also unclear if the team has any need for Coleman against the struggling Buccaneers. It might be smart to give Coleman an extra week of rest and bring him back on the Christmas Eve rematch with the New Orleans Saints.
