Andy Levitre has quietly been a consistent and quality guard for the Falcons, even if his name mostly comes up due to penalties. He’s now going to miss multiple weeks with the Atlanta Falcons facing multiple must-win situations.
#Falcons guard Andy Levitre is out against the #Saints on Thursday with a partially torn triceps, source said. However, the hope is he's back after just 2 or 3 weeks. Not season-ending.

Levitre went out early against the Minnesota Vikings, and now we know why. Ben Garland is pretty solid in the run game, but gets overmatched in pass protection. He’s a good backup, but is definitely a downgrade from Levitre. Austin Pasztor is listed only as an offensive lineman, and has the size to play inside. It may still be too early for rookie Sean Harlow, but he at least has an outside shot at being active on game days.
There’s a good chance that limits Atlanta’s already inconsistent passing game. Next up is the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.
