Matt Ryan, last season’s league MVP, has had a down year statistically after piling up 4,944 yards and 38 touchdowns while completing 69.9 percent of his passes.
The 10th-year quarterback has only 18 touchdowns this season and is on schedule to do something he hasn’t done since his first year in the league: fail to throw three touchdown passes in a single game.
It’s pretty absurd, especially with a receiver like Julio Jones on the roster, and it’s the ultimate indictment on an offense that looks vastly different to last year’s offense that put up points with ease.
The Falcons face the New Orleans Saints on the road this Sunday and host the Carolina Panthers for the regular season finale.
Do you think Ryan will throw three (or more) touchdown passes in either of those games?
