Sometimes, health is the most important thing for a football team. While most contenders have lost invaluable players at some point during the year, the Falcons keep plugging along down one or two players at any given time. That has allowed them to survive and keep winning, even when not much else is going right.
The good news is that the Falcons are still pretty healthy coming out of Monday Night Football against the Buccaneers. We’ll have to see if Tevin Coleman is out of the league’s concussion protocol Sunday against the Saints, and we really don’t know when Andy Levitre is back, but there were no reports that Atlanta lost any one else last night. With two rough, physical games coming up against the Saints and Panthers, that’s absolutely vital.
We’ll hope Atlanta can stay relatively healthy and keep winning, because if they’re one of the last teams standing in the postseason, anything can happen.
