The Atlanta Falcons, as we’ve written many times in recent weeks, need at least two wins over their last three games to make the playoffs. Winning out would guarantee a spot in the postseason, which would mark the second straight year in the big dance under Dan Quinn. That’s an important milestone, but more importantly than that, the Falcons have the talent to make a second straight Super Bowl run.
Of course, those wins won’t be easy to come by, but this one looks easier than the next two. The Buccaneers are a disappointing, injury-marred team trying to cling to relevance and play spoiler despite being eliminated from contention recently, and there would be no sweeter thing for this team than to spoil the fortunes of the Falcons, Panthers and/or Saints over the last three weeks.
So Atlanta will need to be vigilant and play a good game, despite their obvious superiority on both sides of the ball at the moment. Here’s what you’ll need to know to watch them tomorrow night.
