What you need to know to watch Falcons vs. Cowboys this weekend

The Atlanta Falcons (4-4) are looking to rebound against one of the NFC’s best offenses.

Your Atlanta Falcons (yes, yours, don’t fight me) have been somewhat of a disappointment this year. The good news is that there’s still some time to turn the season around, make a playoff push, and get this train back on the tracks. The bad news is that there are very few easy games left in which to do so, and this weekend’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys doesn’t qualify.

The Cowboys will probably have Ezekiel Elliott for this one, they have second year stud Dak Prescott at quarterback, and they have a number of terrific receiving options. They can put up points, is what I’m suggesting, which helps them overcome the fact that their defense is pretty shaky most of the time. Unless the Falcons can reverse their recent trend of solid but unspectacular defensive performances that allow teams to drain the clock, paired with inept offensive performances that result in fewer than 20 points, they’re probably not gonna win this one.

That said, it’s always worth watching to see if they will finally put it together. No time like the present, Falcons!

Here’s what you’ll need to know to watch the game.
