The Falcons will wear black uniforms tomorrow against the Buccaneers

A reminder for jersey enthusiasts.

The Atlanta Falcons only break out the black uniforms once or twice per year, if at all, so we’re happy to report that they’re back at against the Buccaneers.

In case you’ve forgotten, this is the second time this year the Falcons have worn their black uniforms, the first coming way back in that deeply frustrating game against the Bills. Atlanta’s well overdue for a wholesale jersey change, in our humble opinion, but we’ll certainly settle for the nice change of pace these uniforms represent. Especially because they feature the old logo, which is (we say) better than the new one.

Some of you may be unhappy about this news because the Falcons have memorably lost a couple of close games in the throwbacks of late, but to that I say nuts. The Falcons look awesome playing in these, and hopefully they’ll look even better when the game is over Sunday. I am referring to a win here.
