Pro Bowl voting is open, and you should vote for Falcons right now

There are plenty of worthy choices.

The NFL has opened up Pro Bowl voting, which means it’s time to try to stock the cupboard with your favorite and most deserving Falcons.

While this year’s 5-4 record doesn’t put the Falcons among the NFL’s early elite, they’ve still had plenty of standout performers here in the early going. The trick with the Pro Bowl is that deserving does not always enter into the picture, not when offensive linemen get in on reputation and players from top seeded teams tend to fare better than those from the worst squads in the NFL, regardless of their actual performances.

Being as objective as humanly possible, here are your worthy Pro Bowl choices from the Falcons. I wanted to add Matt Ryan based on his level of performance, but I also have to acknowledge that there’s at least three quarterbacks who are performing at a higher level and putting up more Pro Bowl-friendly stats. Your mileage may vary, but I think this is a solid starting list:

  • WR Julio Jones
  • C Alex Mack
  • RT Ryan Schraeder
  • DE Adrian Clayborn (for that one game alone, frankly)
  • LB De’Vondre Campbell
  • CB Desmond Trufant
  • S Keanu Neal
  • K Matt Bryant

Debate who should be included, and then go vote!
