If reports are accurate, it looks like the Falcons will be signing yet another Cleveland Browns player in the very near future. After losing fifth rounder Brian Hill to the Bengals, the Falcons needed to add some depth to the RB position with Devonta Freeman a likely scratch Monday against the Seahawks. Per Vaughn McClure, that player will be Terrence Magee:
Sources out of Cleveland tell me Falcons plucking RB Terrence Magee, from LSU, from the Browns' practice squad. Falcons have open spot on 53-man roster and need another body at running back with Devonta Freeman (concussion) probably out vs. Seattle.... https://t.co/WWkPoqsDbN

Magee came out in the 2015 draft having played football at LSU. At 5’8” and 215 lbs, he’s a stout back who is not particularly explosive or dynamic, but is a relatively well-rounded back. In other words, don’t expect him to be a future name on the Falcons ring of honor.
In order to make room on the 53-man roster, the Falcons decided to waive promising linebacker Jermaine Grace. The hope is that he will clear waivers and make it onto the Falcons practice squad, but the signing of Brian Hill shows that is never a sure thing.
Additionally, the Falcons cut Mike Meyer (again!) from the practice squad to make room for QB Garrett Grayson, who we all hope will turn into the next Matt Simms.
