It has been difficult to get overly amped up for this matchup. We’ve seen the Falcons cruise into matchups that seemingly favor them, including games at home against opponents missing key pieces, and seen them come up short too many times this year. They’re 4-4 right now, and while a win here would be meaningful and certainly would get the season back on track, there’s a fair and healthy amount of skepticism surrounding that possibility.
That said, it’s Sunday, so it’s time to cast away our worries and doubts and cheer for the team, and hopefully the W. This is a beatable Dallas team at the end of the day, one without its left tackle and running back, and the Falcons are extremely overdue for a complete football game. Hopefully in a bit over three hours, we’re looking at a 5-4 Falcons team ready to rattle off a few quality wins in a row. Greedy, maybe, but I think it’s fair to be.
As always, this is your open thread for the game, we’ll add a new one at halftime, and you can find the key info and Twitter tracker below in case you can’t watch.
