If you could take one Dallas Cowboy, who would it be?

We’ve narrowed it down to two.

It’s that time of week again where we daydream about destroying this week’s opponent utterly by taking one of their best players away and subtly adding him to the Falcons. Surely the Dallas Cowboys will never notice!

Honestly, it’s extremely tempting to say Dak Prescott. He’s only 24 years old, he’s been brilliant thus far in his young career, and he’d absolutely be able to feast with the offensive weaponry afforded to him in Atlanta. In a vacuum, I’d make that choice no problem. He’s going to be a great NFL quarterback for a decade-plus if all goes well.

If I’m grounded in the team’s current reality, however, I’d go for Demarcus Lawrence. He’s had inconsistent production at times during his four years in the NFL, but Lawrence remains a strong, potent pass rusher who would instantly bolster this team’s defensive end rotation. Put Lawrence, Takkarist McKinley, Vic Beasley, Brooks Reed and Derrick Shelby down as one of the NFL’s most potent rotations for 2018, at the very least.

If we were living in a universe where the Falcons were legitimately considering moving on from Matt Ryan, and I felt like he was in danger of declining soon, I’d go Prescott. Instead, I’ll go Lawrence.

How about you?
