The Atlanta Falcons have struggled mightily to play the caliber of football we’ve all expected from them thus far in 2017, and it’s led to three straight losses. They have a chance to get back on track against the Jets, and a chance is all you can ask for at this point.
So how should the Falcons achieve their victory tomorrow, if there is indeed a right method to doing so? I have some thoughts.
First of all, this isn’t the week to try to get the passing attack back on track, however tempting it might be to try. The Jets have a decent enough secondary and the weather is going to suck, so they’d be smart to run early and often, using the pass a bit more judiciously. On defense, you’ve simply got to stop the Jets on the ground and take your chances with Josh McCown through the air. Simple enough in theory, but perhaps more difficult in execution.
How would you beat the Jets, if you were the Falcons?
