The Atlanta Falcons lost yet another game and now stand at 3-3. That’s not an enviable position to be in, and we spent an entire off-season convincing ourselves that Super Bowl hangovers aren’t real. But now that reality has smacked us in the face, all we can is move forward. The Falcons have a winnable game against the Jets next weekend. For now, let’s break down the injuries.
Duke Riley left the game with a knee injury. His knee was bothering him all week so this is really a re-aggravation of an existing injury. He left the game during the first half but wasn’t officially ruled out until the 3rd quarter. Kemal Ishmael replaced him and got some solid looks. He had one particularly nice tackle that stopped a third down conversion.
Deion Jones was injured late in the game as well. Like Riley, Jones was dealing with an injury all week (quad) but that didn’t appear to be his issue. He was down on the turf for a while, being tended to by trainers but sitting up. There wasn’t much chatter about him after the fact, so he may have just been a little fazed. Definitely something to keep an eye on though.
