Tonight’s game has real AFC West implications, and while we couldn’t possibly care less about that as Falcons fans, it may end up mattering the Super Bowl. You know, think big.

The Chiefs are one of the best teams in football, with a dynamic rookie back, steady and somehow improving veteran at quarterback, and a terrific defense. They’ll be making a deep playoff push in the AFC, one way or the other, and Oakland is really more of an annoyance than anything.

A win is the only way Oakland is going to stay in this thing, too. The Raiders were a preseason darling and have a lot of talent, but their defense is shaky, their ground game only intermittently effective, their Amari Cooper evidently broken, and Derek Carr dealing with injury. An upset here would keep them in the playoff hunt at least a little longer, while a loss basically gives the Chiefs an insurmountable divisional lead seven weeks into the season. They’ll have to fight like hell, in other words.

If you’re watching tonight, here’s the key information you’ll need.
