The Atlanta Falcons have most likely the very best wide receiver in the league. Julio Jones is on offensive coordinator number four, and no one has tried giving him a shot in the red zone. It’s actually getting absurd.
There are 162 NFL players that have multiple red zone targets this season.

Falcons WR Julio Jones has just one.
How do you give Julio only one red zone target in five games?
We have seen the same excuses every season. First, coaches say they will stress getting Julio the ball in the red zone. Then it’s Julio gets a ton of coverage in the red zone, so they aren’t going to force him the ball.
You know who doesn’t have one red zone target? Antonio Brown. Mike Evans. Jordy Nelson. AJ Green. Do these guys see a different type of coverage than Julio? No way. The Falcons still don’t know when to use their best player, and this stat shows just how crazy it is.
