If you could steal one Patriot and add him to the Falcons roster, who would it be?

There’s an obvious answer.

With a matchup against the Patriots looming, it’s natural to take a look at that roster and see who you might covet, were you feeling covetous. Now ask yourself who you’d take on this Falcons roster, if you had the opportunity to do so.

It’s not that this roster isn’t studded with talent—even the defense has quite a bit, despite their awful start—but there’s only one player who isn’t as old as Tom Brady who very clearly elevates the struggling Falcons offense.

With the understanding that I think Rob Gronkowski is at best extremely unbright, I would absolutely add him to this football team from the Patriots, and I’m not sure there’s an option that would come particularly close. When healthy Gronk is the best tight end in the NFL by a wide margin, and putting him on this Falcons team would more or less elevate the proceedings whether or not the Falcons actually started calling better plays and executing at a high level or not. As good as Austin Hooper can be, he is not Gronk, and so that’s my choice.

How about you?
