There is some good news and some bad news for Brian Hill. With Mohamed Sanu injured, Hill was cut a few days ago so the Atlanta Falcons could add a wide receiver to the roster. The bad news is Sanu is likely returning to full health, but the team is not reversing that earlier roster move. The good news is he will stick on Atlanta’s practice squad and give him another chance at showing he wasn’t a wasted pick.
Falcons fifth-round pick Brian Hill, waived over the weekend, has just re-signed to the team's practice squad. https://t.co/SXaqoQ3Y1Z

Hill looked like a good talent in college, but really, really struggled to transition to the NFL. That’s a little alarming, as running back is arguably one of the easiest positions to make that transition.
This signing definitely means no other team was trying to sign Hill to their active roster. It likely means no team pushed hard to add him to their practice squad either. With each of Atlanta’s three active running backs having previously missed time with injury, it’s not unrealistic to think Hill gets another shot at NFL action this season.
