The Atlanta Falcons are, in more or less any way you want to slice it, a better team than the Miami Dolphins. They are accordingly favored by two scores heading into Sunday’s game at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The opening line had the Falcons as 9 point favorites, and that has since moved between 10-11 points, depending on where you’re looking. The implication here is that the Dolphins, who have yet to put together a truly impressive game in four tries, haven’t scored more than 20 points in a game (yes, I’ll bring this up in every article), and are now dealing with the fallout from a scandal, just aren’t good enough to hang with the Falcons. I’m wary of every team in the NFL to some degree, but here Vegas and I agree.
A win is the most important thing here, but I’m hoping Atlanta comes out swinging and delivers a big, feel-good victory with Ricardo Allen and Ryan Schraeder returning. We’re only a few days away from finding out.
