NFL Playoffs 2017: Seahawks vs. Lions info and discussion

The Seahawks are the obvious favorites.

The Seahawks are one of the best teams in football, despite a diminished offense and an injury to Earl Thomas that has made their secondary significantly less terrific. All of that is unlikely to matter against the Lions.

I mean no disrespect when I write this, but the Lions just aren’t one of the better teams in the playoffs. They’ve consistently ranked among the bottom quarter of teams in the NFL in any advanced metric you can think of, and when they were facing a do-or-die situation over the last two weeks to get a home playoff game, they dropped two consecutive (albeit difficult) games. I’d be pleasantly surprised for the team and the fanbase if they could pull it off, but Seattle has been here before and is just better. They should win and face the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional Round.

Here’s what you need to know. Go Seahawks, I guess?
