The Atlanta Falcons are going to get to host a playoff game in the Georgia Dome, though we won’t know who the opponent is until after the Wild Card round of games next weekend. We do know when they’ll be playing, however, with a hat tip to Rich Eisen.

The Falcons will be up at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, January 14th, which means you can go ahead and write that on your Falcons desk calendar in red or black ink right now. The time off will hopefully allow Atlanta to get as healthy as possible and prepare to win and keep moving. Ideally, they’d win more than one game, but let’s take it one at a time for right now because I’m overcome at the mere thought of a Super Bowl berth.
As a reminder, the Falcons will play the highest remaining seed in the field, which will likely be the Seattle Seahawks unless Detroit has one hell of an upset in them. Who do you think they’ll draw?
