After a statement win against the Dallas Cowboys, the red hot Aaron Rodgers will head to Atlanta.

The Georgia Dome gets one last game. If the Atlanta Falcons win, they go to the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots the AFC winner. The Dallas Cowboys had a pretty familiar collapse, and now the Green Bay Packers will travel to Atlanta to play the Falcons in the NFC Championship game.

The game will be next Sunday, on January 22nd at 3:05 on Fox. It is Atlanta’s last hurdle to get to their first Super Bowl visit in nearly 20 years. The Falcons, of course, played Green Bay back in week 8.

What did that game look like? The final score was close, but the Falcons limited the Packers to only 8 points in the second half. Adrian Clayborn (injured reserve) had two sacks, and Desmond Trufant (injured reserve) had four tackles. Jordy Nelson (injured reserve) was their best receiver. I think the Packers have gone through about 20 running backs since week 8. Safety Morgan Burnett and left tackle David Bakhtiari left the game, and it’s unclear if either will be healthy by next Sunday.

It was in the patch where Rodgers looked a bit off, but he still had 4 touchdowns and 246 receiving yards. It’ll be hard to improve too much on that day, but don’t be shocked if Rodgers puts up 350+ yards.

Both teams are hot, but Green Bay will have their second game on the road in their third playoff game this year. Atlanta got rested up during the bye and beat up the Seattle Seahawks at home.

This one feels like a barn burner.
