Now that we know the Atlanta Falcons have advanced to the NFC Conference Championship, we can look forward to finding out which team they will play. That will be decided in this matchup.
You have your choice of the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. It’s fair to wonder about Dallas given their easy schedule, I suppose, but their defense was solid all year, their offense is ridiculously productive and well-balanced, and they’d have home field advantage over the Falcons if they won. All of that combined likely means a tough game.
Green bay, meanwhile, just has a handful of impact defenders and the legendary Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. I’ve said for a long time now that I consider Rodgers to be the best quarterback in football, and while he may not have looked like it early in the regular season, he’s playing at such a high level right now that I think he would absolutely toast this Falcons defense, as impressive as they were against Seattle. I’m not sure I want to see the Packers, even if the Falcons get to be home to face them.
Hey, either way, we’re about to find out. Tune in to the game.
I’m not going to post a separate thread for Chiefs-Steelers because hey, it’s the AFC, so continue to chat about that game in this thread, while you’re at it.
