The Atlanta Falcons have a chance to keep this magical, historic season going for at least another week. All they have to do is beat the Seattle Seahawks.
That’s a tall order, as you’re no doubt aware. This Seahawks team has an awful offensive line, a less than stellar ground game and passing game, and their always-great defense is missing Earl Thomas. Even diminished, though, this team is dangerous enough to beat the Falcons in the Georgia Dome, and certainly Dan Quinn is well aware of that. The Falcons won’t take them lightly, but more importantly, the Falcons will be healthy enough to bring their A game.
My expectation is that this will be a little more of a shootout than it was the last time these two teams met. The Falcons will have to contend with Paul Richardson, who is emerging for the Seahawks at (from my perspective) the exact wrong time, and with a resurgent Thomas Rawls on the ground. They’ll also need to keep their offense rolling against that aforementioned tough defense, but honestly, I’m not nearly as worried about that. I think the Falcons will break 30 in this one.
I’m going with Falcons 31, Seahawks 28. What say you?
