The Falcons will, thankfully, go into Sunday’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers reasonably healthy. Linebacker Paul Worrilow, as expected, will be out as he continues to recover from a groin injury, and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell will miss a third consecutive game with an ankle injury.
Everyone but Campbell and Worrilow, who were both held out Friday, participated fully in practice. That’s good news, considering that Matt Ryan and most of the other key players on offense are listed on the injury report.
Matt Ryan injured his thumb on Monday against the Saints, but he practiced fully all week and is ready to go for Sunday. Tevin Coleman, Justin Hardy, Julio Jones, Brooks Reed, and Mohamed Sanu were all limited on Thursday, but all were upgraded to full practice on Friday and are healthy enough to play on Sunday.
Devonta Freeman did not practice on Thursday due to illness, but he was back at practice on Friday without any limitations. Dwight Freeney had a day off Wednesday, but was not limited throughout the rest of the week.
The Falcons will need to be close to full strength to have a shot to take down the Panthers, and they are.
