New Orleans is getting the red carpet treatment this Monday night, as the city remembers the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina and the Saints’ role in comforting the city (partially by beating the Falcons). We all dislike the Saints, obviously, but far be it from me to deny that this is an important night for them, and one I’m not going to grumble too much about.
While the Falcons are the away team and won’t be received warmly in New Orleans, they do get to play in their home reds, which are quite stylish. It’s not the black uniforms fans and some players continue to clamor for. but it’ll do in a pinch.
Let’s hope they play like they’re in the Georgia Dome (well, unless it’s like they played against the Buccaneers.)
