Our panel of experts (also known as Dave Choate, David Walker, Matt Chambers, Kendall Jackson and yours truly) are feeling pretty confident about the Panthers beating the Niners this week, and we’re also all taking the Cardinals over the Bucs. Dave Choate is the lone believer in the Falcons this week as they travel to Oakland to take on a genuinely tough Raiders team.

Week 1 of the 2016 NFL season featured a crazy slate of games, a number of which threw off the picks for our editors as well as our readers. A majority expected Carolina to beat the Cardinals, which didn’t happen, and most people anticipated that Jimmy Garoppolo starting and Rob Gronkowski being out would hinder the Patriots. The Patriots looked just fine.

Many of us had great faith in the Falcons being able to beat the Bucs, too, and we all know how that turned out.

Here’s how our editors fared last week.
