Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu both suffered lower leg injuries against the Buccaneers, which is terrifying if, like me, you enjoy the Falcons passing the football successfully. Thankfully, the early indications for both players seem positive.
Quinn says Sanu and Julio will be limited today. He expects them to make progress to potentially full participation tomorrow.

The Falcons had a fairly successful week passing the ball, and while Matt Ryan spread the ball around effectively, Sanu and Julio were key to that effort, combining for nine receptions, 146 yards, and both passing touchdowns. Sanu even nabbed a two point conversion in his first game with Atlanta, which is a nice bonus.
Against the Raiders, who struggled to contain the Saints’ passing attack and have a very capable offense of their own, the Falcons are going to have to throw a lot to stay in the game. So long as they have Julio and Sanu in the game, I have faith they can pull this thing off.
Of course, we’re getting ahead of ourselves a little bit here. We’ll wait for the Friday injury report to indicate how likely it is that these two will play, and we’ll certainly hope they’re healthy and past the drops we saw in Week 1 against the Buccaneers.
