After the Raiders beat the Saints 35-34 and the Falcons dropped a 31-24 game to the Buccaneers, it’s not surprising that Atlanta won’t be favored when these two teams meet. It is a mild surprise that they’re not favored to the tune of 6.5 points, however.
Oakland has a lot going for it, from a franchise quarterback in Derek Carr to young weapons like Amari Cooper and Latavius Murray to a defense loaded with interesting pieces like Khalil Mack. They have a ton of talent, in other words.
Atlanta, meanwhile, is crossing the country after a pretty poor showing, and there are enough question marks here that this probably feels like a pretty easy bet. The only way this line is going to move significantly is if injuries crop up for Oakland, or the Falcons clone Julio Jones a couple of times.
Are you putting money down on this one?
