ESPN: Adrian Clayborn expected back by season opener

Something finally broke Atlanta's way and luckily Clayborn didn't break anything.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons returned to late-2015 Falcons last night. Most of the players were either ineffective or left the game due to injury. Luckily Julio Jones and Adrian Clayborn are not expected to miss any regular season games.

Per ESPN's Vaughn McClure.

This is great news. The Falcons are severely lacking any semblance of talent at defensive end. Clayborn may not be the biggest play maker, but he is easily one of the top players on the defensive line. Brooks Reed has not shown much, Vic Beasley is either dealing with an injury or is severely struggling, and Derrick Shelby has been invisible. A healthy Clayborn should help create a bit of pressure.
