Falcons Training Camp 2016: It’s over

Today was the last day of training camp, and I’ve answered your questions about it.

That’s a wrap on Falcons training camp, folks. Today was the last day, and when I return to Flowery Branch, it will be for the team’s normal practice schedule.

We’ve learned a lot, and there’s still much to learn from the team’s preseason matchups over the next few weeks.

A few things to note about this week’s game: Terron Ward, Kemal Ishmael and Matt Bryant will all be held out of Thursday’s matchup with the Browns. This means Keanu Neal will play, so fans will finally get to see the first rounder in game action.

The other thing to note is that Dan Quinn confirmed again after practice that Dwight Freeney will get some playing time against Cleveland on Thursday. Quinn said that Freeney will be utilized primarily on third downs and in the nickel package, and he doesn’t have a set number of snaps in mind, but would rather let Freeney play until he’s confident Freeney is comfortable.

Instead of writing about practice, which has started to feel a bit repetitive, as I’m often reporting the same things day in and day out, I decided to go ahead and take some reader questions and answer them instead. Enjoy.
