Falcons-Browns series history: Cleveland’s strange dominance

The Browns are up 11-3 all-time, weirdly enough.

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta has not been a great team throughout their history, so it’s not shocking when other teams have dominated them over the years. Unless, of course, that team is the Cleveland Browns.

Yes, the Browns that we’ve spent so many years feeling sorry for have utterly destroyed the Falcons over the years, with an 11-3 series advantage. The Falcons last won against them in 2010 (and before that, 1993), and have simply been beaten again and again by Cleveland. I mean, kudos to them, but I honestly did not expect that when I started writing this post.

The Falcons won’t be able to make a dent in that record when they meet in the preseason, but they’ll hope to beat Cleveland, come out of the game healthy (the biggest priority, of course), and just generally put a dent in that Cleveland championship celebration. Even though that was an entirely different sport.
