Falcons training camp tracker, 8⁄16 edition

We’re nearly to the close of public training camp practices.

The Atlanta Falcons are coming to the close of training camp practices which are open to the public, so if you want to go, I suggest you go. We’ll be here tracking, regardless of what happens.

Here’s a few notes for today’s training camp practices:

  • We’ve got the Cleveland Browns lurking around the corner, and you shouldn’t expect Dan Quinn’s strategy for that game to change much. The Falcons want to get a long look at their players down the roster and their rookies with potential, so the starters will cede snaps early on, regardless of how well they perform. Remember that if the starting offense sputters again, and remember that you shouldn’t expect drastically different lineups in training camp practices.
  • Keep an eye on the likes of Ra’Shede Hageman, Courtney Upshaw, and Mohamed Sanu in practice and in this week’s game. All three could carve out significant roles (Sanu is guaranteed one), and all three have been solid but haven’t stood out thus far.
