After a brief layoff, we return to Falcons training camp today. That means more practice, more potential position battle updates, and some clarity on the status of injured Falcons like Keanu Neal.
With any luck, you’ll know the following by the end of the day:
- Whether Keanu Neal is back practicing, and whether the team expects him to play Thursday against Cleveland. Ditto the likes of Terron Ward and Levine Toilolo.
- Whether Thursday night’s performance against Washington had any bearing on position battles. Your clues, of course, will be who lines up where and whether they’re with the first team, though with the amount of experimentation the Falcons are wont to do, you shouldn’t consider that the most reliable indicator.
- Whether Dan Quinn is fired up about what he saw against Washington, and whether he’ll continue to be fired up regardless of the results in Cleveland this week. FIRED UP!
