The bad news is that the Falcons didn’t get to roll out the likes of Keanu Neal, Terron Ward, and Levine Toilolo in their preseason game. The good news is that there were no reports of any significant injuries in this one, and given that the primary purposes of preseason are to get your position battles settled and players warmed up without injury, we’ll call that a victory.
The lone injury of note (that we’ve heard about) is Kemal Ishmael, who left the game with a shoulder ailment and was listed as questionable to return. We’re going to assume (perhaps with the power of wishful thinking) that this injury was not severe and may cost him only a week, if any time at all, and we hope you’ll join us in sending good vibes his way.
With a victory under their belts, a relatively healthy team, and some encouraging signs of life on defense in particular, you can feel good about the Falcons for the moment. Please do so.
