It was a little controversial, but we got through the top three quarterbacks in franchise history with no major casualties. Time to move on to running back, a position where a lot of the better Falcons have played.
I mean, you're talking about the likes of William Andrews, Warrick Dunn, Jamal Anderson, Gerald Riggs, Michael Turner, Dave Hampton, and Steve Broussard, and even several valuable role players like Jerious Norwood and T.J. Duckett. The Falcons also have not one but two promising young running backs as I write this, which is nothing to sneeze at.
For all that, though, I think this is relatively easy. I'd have Warrick Dunn and Jamal Anderson just outside the top three. Andrews is someone I really didn't see play live (Riggs kind of qualifies, too), but both his statistical output and his highlights are legitimately amazing. Turner was an absolute bruiser who shone very brightly very briefly, but it was enough to put him at #2 on my list. Riggs was just very good and dependable.
