Falcons considered longshots to win the 2017 Super Bowl, still listed ahead of 13 teams

Bovada updated its 2017 Super Bowl odds after the draft, and the Falcons haven't moved a ton.

Atlanta ranks 20th overall with listed +5000 odds of winning the Super Bowl this coming February, well behind the Carolina Panthers (+1100) but ahead of the Saints (+6600) and Buccaneers (+7500). While nothing's guaranteed and I think the Falcons will finish a bit closer to the middle of the pack in the final standings, I think it's more than fair to be skeptical of their Super Bowl odds in 2016 and early 2017, given that there are still major question marks dotting the roster and they just turned in a pretty mediocre year in 2015 after two lousy years in 2013 and 2014. With any luck, they'll be listed as (and deserve to be listed as) a genuine Super Bowl contender heading into the 2018 Super Bowl, but we've got a long way to go there.
