2017 NFL mock draft: Falcons land a pass rusher, per one crystal ball

It's probably not a bad guess.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

Looking ahead to the 2017 draft is both irresponsibly early and just plain weird, but since we just capped off the 2016 NFL Draft, next year's prospect season has technically already begun. Bless you, eternal NFL cycle.

Here's Dan Kadar of Mocking The Draft fame:

13. Atlanta Falcons: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M

Garrett will probably go much higher than this in a year, but who knows. None of us know. For the Falcons he can be a pass rusher on the line with Vic Beasley making plays behind him.

Garrett is a big, fast, powerful defensive end who has 22.5 sacks in two seasons with Texas A&M and has as much talent as any other defensive end in this upcoming class, so this would be one hell of a coup for Atlanta at #13...if he continues apace and all that. As Kadar says in his writeup, we simply don't know, but I'll file this name away on the off chance Atlanta ends up with him next year.

Who do you have your eye on in 2017?
