Falcons fans, your linebacker desires have been assuaged. The Falcons have selected LSU LB Deion Jones to bolster the linebacking corps of the team.
It's Deion.

You may recall Deion Jones for his unholy 4.38 40 at his pro day (compared to a 4.59 at the combine), so he certainly brings a fast presence to the team. He's only listed at 222 on his NFL.com profile (to Keanu Neal's 211) so he won't be much more of a linebacker to the team, but he will still be one. He also at least has the positional experience and suddenly we have not one, but two guys that can cover TEs that we did not have last year.
We'll most likely be leaning on this kid a lot this year, so here's hoping that his 40 time at his pro day is more indicative of his speed than his 40 at the combine.
His NFL profile says he's a "demon" on special teams. That'll be pretty fun to watch, and it'll definitely earn him kudos early on in the process. He does have some spatial and tackling issues, but I anticipate Dan Quinn and company turning him into a speedy tackling machine.
