NFL Draft rumors: Reggie Ragland, potential Falcons target, has enlarged aorta

Goodness gracious.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

At this point, you're better off asking which of the top linebacker prospects doesn't have an ailment that is going to concern teams.

This is not ideal news for Ragland, an expected first round prospect who offers physicality, sound tackling, and run-stopping acumen, but faces questions about his overall speed and athleticism. This won't help his stock, even if it winds up being a relatively minor concern. The Falcons probably wouldn't be dissuaded from drafting him—especially if he magically falls into the second round—but it's not clear whether he's near the top of their board, anyways, as we inch closer to the draft.

If you're keeping score at home, that's now three of the top linebackers in the class who are facing some kind of health-related issue that might torpedo their draft stock. What a weird, stupid year.
