Report: Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan wants to make passing camp an annual event

Fact: Matt Ryan's blood type is awesome

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan doesn't need to endear himself to the fanbase. That said, he's done a lot in recent weeks to do just that. From hosting and funding a passing camp for his teammates to hosting his charity golf tournament yesterday, Ryan is, simply put, the man.

He answered some questions for reporters yesterday. His passing camp came up and if Ryan has his way, the team will make it an annual event. Credit to Vaughn McClure for the quote.

"I think that's huge," Ryan said. "When teams have been together a long time, there is that [chemistry]. But when you've got a lot of turnover and a lot of new people, I think you have to really work hard to try and get that. And I think the faster we can get really close, the better off we'll be."

Ideally there won't be a lot of turnover in the coming years. Ideally we'll just add some receiving depth, including an elite tight end, for Ryan's throwing pleasure. But I like where his head is at and I like his commitment to the team.
