Now that the free agent dust has settled a bit and we know the rough shape of each NFC South team's roster and outstanding roster needs, it's time for some irresponsible predictions!
We'll do this again after the draft and before the season to see how our projections change, but here's mine for now.
NFC South standings
Panthers: 11-5
Falcons: 8-8
Buccaneers: 8-8
Saints: 6-10
The Panthers should pull back somewhat from last year's heights, simply because it's incredibly difficult to go 15-1 in the regular season, but they're still the best team in this division and it's not currently all that close. The Falcons should turn in another largely average season while they assemble more talent and go through their growing pains, though I'm obviously hoping to be pleasantly surprised. The Buccaneers should take a small step forward before becoming more of a force in 2017, assuming their draft class turns out well. And while the Saints have had a savvy offseason, there's still too many holes on that roster to assume anything close to a winning record.
Give us your prediction in the comments.
