Free agency 2016: newly signed Atlanta Falcons Alex Mack, Sean Weatherspoon select numbers

The Atlanta Falcons obviously had a specific strategy in mind as they headed into free agency. For those of us not employed by Arthur Blank, that strategy is still a mystery. But while I'm still totally lost when it comes to the revamping of the linebacker corps, there's a couple signees the fan base seems to be universally thrilled about.

Earlier today, those two fan favorites, center Alex Mack and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, officially picked their numbers.

The newest Falcons have picked their jersey numbers:
Mack- No. 51

I know what you're thinking: "but Spoon is number 56!" Well never fear, because in comes Brooks Reed. Reed, for a price we can only speculate about, apparently decided he'd hand over number 56.
