The Atlanta Falcons are maintaining their Kyle Shanahan-centric offseason by signing another player who worked under the offensive coordinator. The team is bringing in swing tackle Tom Compton, who previously had a few snaps at guard and might push for offensive line depth.
Rand Getling of NFL Network has the news.
I'm told former #Redskins OL Tom Compton will be signing with the #Falcons.

Compton was selected int he 6th round of the 2012 draft. He had nice athleticism that should be a fit for this blocking scheme, but he struggled mightily in Washington. We are still waiting for contract numbers, but Compton is likely best suited for depth across the offensive line. With Bryce Harris expected to be the third offensive tackle, Compton may get a shot in what looks to be another guard competition during camp.
