The second day of Falcons free agency was left eventful than the first, but I suspect the third will be very busy for Atlanta.
That's because they've had Chris Long, James Laurinaitis and now Sean Weatherspoon in for visits in recent days, and they've signed Weatherspoon and expressed strong interest in the other two. You might as well strike while the iron's hot, if possible, because Long and Laurinaitis have other suitors.
Those signings would all offer competition, at the very least, at linebacker and end. After the Falcons have largely prioritized offense through the first two days of free agency, some help on defense beyond Derrick Shelby and Adrian Clayborn would be welcome. Considering the Falcons arguably do not have a starting safety, outside linebacker, and perhaps nickel corner on the roster at the moment, the Falcons will have to start patching holes at some point.
We'll see, though. For now, follow along with our tracker below.
